Today, Joseph Z teaches about persecution, increase, and the principles that guide charitable giving.

Joseph explains that persecution often arises when we are doing the right things. He reminds us that anyone who gives up everything to follow Jesus will reap a hundredfold of what they have given up, including persecutions, as illustrated in Mark 10:30. He elaborates that while we may be delivered from many challenges in life, we will not be spared from persecution. Those who live godly lives in Christ Jesus will face persecution.

Next, Joseph emphasizes that increase is not for our benefit but is about fulfilling God’s will on earth as it is in heaven and advancing His Kingdom. He clarifies that what God provides us is ultimately for His glory in the gospel. He encourages us to shift our mindset from being self-focused to being others-focused to help advance God’s Kingdom. Interestingly, he mentions that sowing is a magnet for increase, urging us to be intentional about giving. Also, he points out that those who have no resources to give should pray to God for seeds because God gives seeds to the sower.

Joseph further encourages us to always give to receive, as God’s word assures us in Proverbs 19:17 that anyone who gives lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for their actions. He references Matthew 6:4 to explain the principles guiding charitable giving and highlights the differences between sowing into the gospel and general charitable contributions. He concludes by praying for increase, faith, and clarity in our lives.
