Joseph teaches that our minds are the access point for both darkness and light in the natural world. He emphasizes that God and the devil are neither business partners nor allies, reminding us that the Son of Man was manifested to destroy the works of the devil. In contrast, Jesus came so that we may have life and have it more abundantly. Joseph reveals that Jesus conquered death and the grave, regaining the authority the devil seized from Adam and Eve when he deceived them in the garden.

He points us to Luke 10:19, which reminds us of the God-given power we have to trample on scorpions and serpents, assuring us that nothing shall harm us. Joseph also references 2 Corinthians 2:10, which states that God forgives anyone we forgive. He emphasizes that whatever we have forgiven, if there is anything to forgive, God has already forgiven in the sight of Christ for our sake, so that Satan might not take advantage of us, since we are not ignorant of his schemes. He clarifies that the devil's schemes and devices involve mind games, which he views as one of the devil's most powerful tools for destroying the children of God. 

Joseph asserts that when we refuse to be offended and instead choose to exercise forgiveness, we defeat the devil at his own game. He directs us to 1 Peter 5:8 to encourage us to be vigilant, as our adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
