He explains that Jesus fulfilled the law of the Old Testament, entered the New Testament era, and took on the priesthood in the order of Melchizedek. Therefore, anyone who is in Christ Jesus is no longer bound by the law, as shown in Hebrews 7. Joseph directs us to 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 to affirm the reality of the "rapture," which refers to the moment when the saints will meet the Lord in the air.
Joseph also cites 2 Thessalonians 2:1-10 to reassure early Christians who worried they might have missed Jesus’ second coming. Paul clarifies that this day will not come until the great falling away occurs and the man of sin is revealed.
