Next, he alludes to the story of Agabus, the prophet in the Book of Acts who warned the church of an impending famine. The Church took action to prepare ahead of time, thereby cushioning the effects of the famine. With this, he stresses that God reveals things through his prophets to prepare us and not to scare us.

Joseph asserts that the church and the world today deserve to see mature believers because Jesus died for us. He references Ephesians 4:11-12 to demonstrate that the five-fold ministry gifts are meant for the edification and equipping of the saints. He also explains that God has given each of us jurisdiction in His body, and it’s important that we find our tribe to discover our purpose.

Joseph further reveals that prophetic gifts exist to bring glory to Jesus, as illustrated in Revelation 19:10. He stresses that the spirit of prophecy bears testimony to Jesus. He emphasizes the need to tame our gifts with God’s word to accurately discern what God places in our hearts. He then assures us that God’s hand of favor is upon us because our lives matter to Him.
