Joseph addresses the concern of why a loving God would send anyone to hell. He explains that God is so holy and powerful that when Lucifer violated His holiness, there was no punishment sufficient to compensate for this offense. Lucifer’s abominable act resulted in his fall from heaven and the subsequent creation of hell, which serves as punishment for the devil and his followers. Joseph clarifies that Lucifer’s sin was considered especially vile and unforgivable because he had no tempter; sin was found within him.

He goes on to explain that hell lasts forever because it represents a punishment that can never be enough to address the violation of God’s holiness. However, anyone who believes in Jesus is spared from this punishment. Joseph emphasizes that we celebrate Easter today because it is a time to remember God’s immense love for us; He sent His Son to die for our sins, offering us salvation from eternal damnation. Thus, the Son of God paid the price for our sins so that we may be reconciled with the Father, as illustrated in Romans 4:25.
Joseph further describes how death was conquered by Jesus, asserting that the incredible power of God was evident in the tomb where Jesus lay, and that this same power that raised Jesus from the dead is also available to everyone who believes in Him. He references Colossians 2:12-15 to highlight how Christ disarmed principalities and powers, making a public spectacle of them. He also cites Revelation 1:12-17 to show that Christ is the first and the last, the One who lives and was dead, and who is alive forevermore. Joseph concludes by stating that Christ holds the keys to death and hell, reaffirming how the great "I Am" is at work through the Son.
