He references 1 Timothy 2:1 to outline four types of prayers: supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving thanks. He explains that supplications involve seeking, asking, and entreating God or man. Citing Matthew 7:7, he reminds us that when we ask, it will be given to us, emphasizing that God desires to give good gifts to us more than we realize. He stresses the importance of being persistent in our requests and supplications until our needs are met.

Joseph points out that God wants to be pursued, referencing John 14:13-14, which tells us that whatever we ask in Jesus’ name will be granted, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Christ assures us that He will do whatever we ask in His name. Joseph further reminds us that prayers may take time to manifest; when this happens, we must learn to be patient with God and remain consistent in our pursuit of what we seek from Him.
