Regarding God’s sovereignty, Joseph clarifies that God has established rules that He does not break. Everything is held together by the power of His word, and the entire universe would unravel if He were to violate these rules. Therefore, God chose to work through the Church to fulfill His will on Earth. This means that God is not responsible for the bad things that happen to us, but only controls what He has not given us the authority to manage.
He emphasizes the importance of exercising our five senses, placing them under God’s authority, and praying in the Holy Spirit, as our senses are the easiest to deceive. He reminds us of Christ’s warning about deception in the last days, stating that people’s hearts will fail them when they witness alarming events approaching the Earth from the atmosphere. Joseph asserts that, although darkness is on the horizon, God places great faith in His Church.
In an interesting observation, Joseph notes that many individuals are living in religion rather than revelation. This is why we struggle when faced with challenges in life. He cautions against the idea of "Christ consciousness," asserting that it is far removed from what God expects of us. He emphasizes that our responsibility is to repent of our sins, renew our minds, make Jesus our Lord, and believe in His name, and we shall be saved. Furthermore, Joseph highlights the seven parts of salvation while explaining the difference between the gift of prophecy and the office of the prophet. He asserts that the office of the prophet comes with the responsibility to edify and equip the body of Christ, while the gift of prophecy is simply that, a gift.
