However, Jesus confronted him here on earth to obliterate and destroy his plans, providing a way of escape for us through His death and resurrection, as He opposes the devil and his works.

Joseph points out that Jesus came to defeat the power of death and the grave through His death and resurrection, triumphing over Satan. Jesus reclaimed the authority that the devil stole from Adam and made a public spectacle of him, as demonstrated in Colossians 2:15. He cites Luke 10:19 to emphasize our power as believers in Christ Jesus. Additionally, he references John 15:5 to remind us that without Christ, we can do nothing, as He is the one true vine.
Joseph then directs us to 2 Corinthians 2:10 to highlight how God forgives us as we forgive those who have wronged us, stressing the importance of forgiving one another to prevent the devil from taking advantage of us, as we are not ignorant of his schemes (mind games). He encourages us to fill our hearts with God's Word to such an extent that we will not fall for the devil's tactics, which often lead us to offense and the guilt of unforgiveness.
He further encourages us to think positively of all people, even if we feel justified in our positions, as a lack of love can make us susceptible to the devil's manipulations. He concludes with 1 Peter 5:8, which instructs us to “Be alert and of sober mind. Our enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
